Octavian Şaramet is a Romanian film director and editor with a strong background in theatre, which led him to pursue a career in filmmaking. As a film editor, Şaramet has worked on several short films, including one that was nominated for Best Short Film at the Transylvania International Film Festival.
His graduation short film, Samodiva, was selected for the Short Film Market picks at the Clermont Ferrand International Film Festival. His master’s degree short documentary, Thy Will Be Done, premiered at the Astra Film Festival in 2023. Şaramet's latest short film, Fine, was in the official selection at the Torino Film Festival.
His work has been featured in major media outlets, and his photography has been showcased in film photography magazines and curated on various pages, gaining recognition for his unique visual style. Şaramet is now in development with a daring feature film project, promising to push creative boundaries.
